The Jubilee of Juliet, Part 2

Romeo and Juliet - fell in love at first sight - that party night

Too bad that their dads - the dads of their granddads

Hated one another - when you uncover the reason why - you’ll just about die

They passed it on down - like a serpent-thorn crown

And now it comes to greet the beat - of two young lovers’ hearts

Here come the darts - of fate - the ancient hate hits home

A child is born - brave to love on her own

She’s old enough - she’s already grown up

I’d die before I’d let them - take me away from you

It’s time to fly into the sky - for you my love is true

The jubilee of Juliet - against her screaming heart - is still gonna start

The guests will arrive - at a quarter to five

The plan’s to hand Juliet to a man - she can and will not love - poor little dove

Desperate times - call upon occulty crimes

The Friar’s potion plan - can it stand up - to defy the stars

In bottles and jars - the drugs take effect - the sleep is like death

The wedding’s off - the funeral’s on

Her sun went down - too soon after dawn

I’d die before I’d let them - take me away from you

It’s time to fly into the sky - for you my love is true

I’d die before I’d let them - take me away from you

(In bottles and jars…)

Can you feel it in your blood - The grudge is generations deep

It’s a death-mark’d love - Like a wolf and like a sheep
